Fundraising and Sponsorship Account Coordinator

 

Our client is seeking a full-time Account Coordinator to help direct major donor fundraising initiatives on behalf of its clients. Our client offers its employees tremendous professional development opportunities and a fast paced, highly collaborative team environment.

 

Responsibilities

  • Support account managers in client communications by responding to inquiries, emailing pertinent information, and coordinating administrative matters as needed

  • Conduct prospect calls to senior level executives, high net worth individuals, and foundations; maintaining a portfolio of 100-200 prospects per month

  • Ability to strategically, and articulately present client offerings to prospective donors via phone, email, and face-to-face meetings

  • Draft letters, proposals, grants, LOIs, fact sheets, presentations, project budgets, and other cultivation materials

  • Update and maintain tracking reports, meeting reports, background reports, board reports, and other client-facing deliverables

  • Assist Research Associate in utilizing online news and data resources to retrieve valuable market intelligence, identify major donor prospects, and monitor activities related to clients and donors

  • Maintain online, proprietary CRM database

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree required

  • 2-5 years work experience

  • Direct fundraising and/or sales experience preferred

  • Proposal/grant writing experience preferred

  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and support multiple clients

  • Ability to work with senior leadership in a professional manner

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required

  • Experience with CRM database preferred

Responsibilities

  • Identify and research major donor prospects including corporations, foundations, and high-net worth individuals

  • Utilize online research tools and databases to obtain business intelligence

  • Conduct phone calls to obtain/verify information not available through online sources 

  • Develop in-depth prospect profiles, networking reports, and other pertinent research projects as assigned 

  • Work closely with account teams to develop and refine research strategies to advance fundraising efforts

  • Update and maintain databases and tracking reports

  • Interface with clients via phone, email, and face-to-face meetings as necessary

  • Track and monitor activities and current events related to clients and donors

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree

  • 0-3 years work experience (entry-level position)

  • Strong ability to use an analytical thought process to solve problems

  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills required

  • Ability to work in a collaborative, team environment to meet tight deadlines

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

  • Prior experience in fundraising, sales or communications is a plus

  • Experience with CRM database is a plus

Executive Assistant

 

Our client is a marketing and consulting firm located in Tysons Corner, VA and is seeking a full-time Executive Assistant who can thrive in a fast-paced environment and effectively meet the daily needs of senior level executives. The Executive Assistant will report directly to the Senior Vice President and Partner of the firm and will be required to work with all staff to maintain a cohesive working environment.

 

Responsibilities

  • Effectively manages executives’ time by reading, researching, and routing correspondence; collecting and analyzing information; and initiating communications.

  • Maintains calendar, including planning and scheduling internal and external meetings and conference calls/conference lines.

  • Manages travel arrangements for executives and other staff and clients, as needed, researching options to secure the best rates/schedules available given desired locations.

  • Develops and utilizes an effective file retrieval system, including digital and paper files.

  • Updates contact information routinely and maintains version control across systems.

  • Researches information quickly and accurately and distills that information into concise reports or outlines.

  • Provides administrate support to staff as needed. This may include database entry, formatting documents, researching information, and compiling reports, among other tasks.

  • Organizes and handles personal matters for executives such as personal appointments, reservations, billing statements, etc.

  • Processes travel and other expense reports in an accurate and timely fashion.

  • Is able to manage frequent flier and other loyalty travel programs.

  • Plans and executes staff events (e.g., holiday party) and works with office administration to maintain office supplies.

  • Welcomes clients and guests by greeting them, in person or on the telephone, and is able to answer inquiries or direct them to the appropriate individual.

  • Prepares and directs new employee orientation.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • 2-5 years work experience

  • Attention to detail, highly organized, and exceptional problem solver

  • Strong time management skills, including meeting deadlines, prioritizing, and maximizing the executive’s time

  • Superior verbal and written communications skills

  • People skills are a must

  • Flexibility to accommodate last-minute changes to travel/schedules with accuracy and poise

  • Demonstrates discretion and good judgment regarding business and confidential information

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

  • Database management skills a plus
